Aerosmith's Perry hospitalized after becoming ill at NY show

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry fell ill during a concert Sunday night in NY and stumbled off stage.

A video posted by a fan on social media shows Perry sitting down on stage and then walking off in the middle of a song.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, Perry lost consciousness backstage and went into cardiac arrest. He was later transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for an unspecified reason.

The supergroup Hollywood Vampires was formed in 2015, with Perry joining Cooper and Depp in a tribute to 1970s rock "n" roll. Police sources told Pix 11 News, that under medical supervision Perry's condition was upgraded to stable. No one ever said, 'Oh good, you're playing in a rock band.

He was in stable condition after being taken to Coney Island Hospital, according to WPIX-TV.

Joe was performing alongside Alice Cooper - the Hollywood Vampires also features Johnny Depp - when he became unwell.

The 65-year-old musician reportedly collapsed during the band's first song.

On Twitter, Perry's team thanked fans for their well wishes. "Cmon man please be ok we love you love you love you!" tweeted former Rage Against The Machine guitarist, Tom Morello.
