Amid VP speculation, Kaine joins Clinton on campaign trail

Voters, by a substantial margin, say of the presumptive Democratic and Republican party presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton best represents their views on health care, according to a survey released Friday.

Just after noon, Clinton's campaign blasted a series of mass-texts to supporters announcing Trump's decision with a fundraising request that let donors give as little as a dollar with a tap on their phone. "If you're a Latino, he's gonna trash-talk you", no matter how long a person has been in the USA, said Kaine.

The Trump campaign did, however, buy Google ads directing people searching for Trump to a donation page. Kaine is often characterized as a "safe" choice, a politician with an impressive resumé who can help Clinton reinforce the notion that Democrats offer a more sensible ticket than Republicans. He's been increasing his outreach to progressive groups in recent weeks, particularly the abortion-rights movement, and may well address that during Thursday's appearance to make them more comfortable with his views.

"He says repeatedly, the American military is a disaster", he told the audience as Clinton nodded her head, leaning against her wooden stool. The poll was conducted after the Federal Bureau of Investigation recommended she not face criminal charges for her use of a private email account and servers as secretary of state.

But Kaine didn't stop there, going on to attack Trump and his rudeness to worldwide leaders, something that he said highlights what he said was the billionaire's inability to manage US foreign policy. "He's fiercely loyal and she can trust him". This may be the biggest unknown variable of her VP pick. It means you're ready to get on the battlefield, you're ready to fight.

Even 14 percent of Trump supporters considered the business mogul somewhat racist. Of those backing him, 14 percent consider him at least somewhat racist.

The coalitions backing the candidates have remained largely unchanged from the primary race, with Clinton doing better among women and minority voters.

Kaine isn't almost as charismatic as another of Clinton's recent rally companions, Barack Obama, who overshadowed his former secretary of state in North Carolina last week.

The killings of black men by white police officers and attacks on the police have left 62 percent of voters saying race relations are growing worse.

Within 15 minutes of Trump's initial tweet, Clinton responded with a video outlining a point-by-point case against Pence.

The AP-GfK Poll of 1,009 adults was conducted online July 7-11, using a sample drawn from GfK's probability-based KnowledgePanel, which is created to be representative of the US population. Two of these polls were conducted online, using panels that were recruited by traditional mail or telephone surveys, one was conducted by phone. It has a credibility interval, a measure of accuracy, of 3 percentage points. Surely the Sanders people are not going to be wooed by Trump's nasty accusation that Sanders' endorsement is now "Exhibit A in our rigged system - the Democrat Party is disenfranchising its voters to benefit the select and privileged few".
