Black Lives Matter Protesters Say 'We're Not Anti-Cops'

Demarkus Johnson, president of the Black Lives Matter Florida chapter, said he's expecting a large turnout.

The two appeared on TMZ's Raq Rants! to share their thoughts on the movement and police brutality. Do black lives only matter when they are taken as a result of interaction with white police officers?

However, some were not happy to see the protest and called it an attack on police. The deaths of two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana at the hands of police earlier this month sparked the latest round of protests and marches, including the one in Dallas last week, when five police officers were shot and killed by a sniper.

His thoughtful remarks are once again marred by another paragraph.

"We want to raise awareness especially with the blue lives matter campaign, which was a way to silence the black lives matter movement".

After host Bill O'Reilly pointed to chants at Black Lives Matter calling for dead cops, and a Black Lives Matter missive being found near an attack on an officer Krauthammer responded, "You think a chant at a demonstration in NY is a reason to connect it with the killing of cops in Baton Rouge?" Or is that too much to ask for?

A second rally in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States was held in downtown Montreal's Cabot Square Saturday afternoon.

"We sure appreciate their cooperation because everything that's going on today with Cruise Nite and a lot of people in town".

Lisette Luna from Miami was there with the New Black Panthers and says one of the things she hopes to discuss this week is the media's role in covering police shootings. That's not our mission to harm the police, but we don't want them to harm us either. The response acknowledged that it is a "difficult time" in America, but since "The White House plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations", and the USA government doesn't "generate a list of domestic terror organizations....we are not able to address the formal request of your petition".

"Most of these bikers were here because if it wasn't for the peace officers, can you imagine this world without somebody enforcing the laws?"

"I talked with a couple of officers beforehand saying that we needed to be the example", Bey said.

The protesters, among whom were high-profile sport stars, marched down Swanston Street before staging a sit-in at Flinders Street Station.
