Taylor Swift supporters have recently been choosing to back her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris over the whole debate as to whether it was Taylor that wrote his new hit "This Is What You Came For".
Katy Perry later took to Twitter, with posts that fans interpreted as her response to the row.
Harris addressed Swift's skills as an "amazing lyric writer" and said she "smashed it as usual" while penning This Is What You Came For before launching into a tirade. Harris confirmed the news on Twitter with a series of tweets, some of which weren't too complimentary towards his ex and one which mentioned her rumoured foe Katy Perry.
"Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one", he added.
After Calvin Harris took to Twitter with some hard words for ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift regarding her involvement in his hit track "This Is What You Came For", potential details about the underlying reason for their breakup have surfaced.
"Keep listening to your dearest friends Taylor cause they know you best and stay away from the tangled web of bad blood".
The "Roar" singer was not supposed to be involved in Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift's drama but she was-it was all because of the Scottish DJ's tweet.
Signing off as though he were Tiny Tim in a twisted updated version of A Christmas Carol, he concluded: "God bless everyone have handsome day".
"You know, we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though".
The article also suggests that - despite Tay being happy to remain anonymous on the record - "she was hurt after Harris did an interview and said he couldn't forsee working with his then-girlfriend in the future".
Harris also confirmed Swift - who is now dating Tom Hiddleston - lent her vocals to part of his latest track and praised her lyrical abilities.
TMZ reports that Harris' flippant reply allegedly brought their relationship to its breaking point.
Update: A couple hours after tweeting her Hillary Clinton GIF, Katy followed up by retweeting an old tweet from over a year ago.
