Chick-fil-A Is Giving Away Free Food

The fried chicken sandwich purveyor is handing out free meals at its more than 2,000 restaurants nationwide on July 12th as parts of its annual Cow Appreciation Day.

The free food can include an original chicken sandwich, a grilled chicken cool wrap or a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit depending upon how a customer is dressed. The event is set to run from stores opening through 7 p.m. local time.

Costumed customers can pick any breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée, and kids dressed like a cow can pick from the kids' meal options.

Fans are invited to use the hashtag #CowAppreciationDay to share pictures of their costumes.

You can get free chicken Tuesday if you dress up like a cow.

Cow Appreciation Day is now in its sixth year.

The party comes on the hooves of Chick-fil-A being named America's favorite fast-food chain and earning a record high score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
