Pokemon GO is the latest phenomenon in the iconic 20-year old Pokemon series, finally bringing the beloved creatures into the real world through the use of augmented reality (AR) technology.

But they warned that "I was collecting Pokemon' is not a legal defence against a charge of trespass, so be sure that you have permission to enter an area or building". In just one week, Pokemon Go has already made $14m in the U.S. alone, according to a research report from SuperData.

The idea is to encourage folks to travel around the real world to catch Pokemon in the game.

That eye-popping rally has boosted Nintendo's market value by billions of dollars and underscored how investors see the game as crucial to its fledgling migration on to mobile devices.

There's also the fact that Nintendo is an owner of the private company that developed Pokemon Go - Niantic. Nintendo has been notably reluctant to allow online social features in their games, and it's suggestible that the company has prevented Niantic from allowing in-game communication between Pokemon Go players, considering that Niantic's previous game - the similarly AR-focused Ingress - included such a feature. "I've already seen a number of people - both kids and adults - so engrossed while staring at their phones and following a map that they've walked right into the street and into objects", Gripp said.

According to the research firm SimilarWeb, the game was downloaded in more than 5 percent of Android phones in the first two days of release and had outpaced the dating app Tinder. They've also said playing the game in the museum is "not appropriate".

Pokémon GO developer Niantic has declared drone use to be legal in its games, reasoning that the smartphone is still visiting the locations even if the person is not. Dogecoin founder Jackson Palmer debugged the network traffic and found that the app no longer sends an HTTP request when you log in with a Pokemon Trainer Club account.

Kay Collins, 22, a health care worker in San Francisco, told The New York Times she played Pokemon Go for half a day on Sunday.
