Jessica Williams exits "The Daily Show"

Trevor Noah and the staff of The Daily Show said goodbye to Jessica Williams on Thursday, her last day on the late-night show.

Williams will definitely be missed whens she leaves The Daily Show, but I'm excited to see what she does in her future endeavors. "I feel so many emotions", Williams told Entertainment Weekly exclusively in an interview.

Trevor Noah, the newest host of the show, says that the move is bittersweet.

"The Daily Show" has been going through a somewhat rocky transition since Stewart left as host in August.

Williams joined "The Daily Show" in 2012 as its youngest correspondent ever at just 22.

Elsewhere in the show, Williams gave her final report as a correspondent, on Bernie Sanders supporters who are now thinking of switching their allegiance to Donald Trump.

"We see her as a great voice - she's so dynamic and so amusing", Alterman told EW. Thank you for four wonderful years. Williams joined the late-night program in 2012 and was suggested as a potential successor to Jon Stewart previous year on social media after that host announced he would leave the program.

After Stewart announced his departure in February 2015, The Daily Show began seeing a bit of turnover in talent, with both Samantha Bee and Jason Jones leaving for deals with TBS.

"Comedy Central thanks the incredible Jessica Williams for over four awesome years with 'The Daily Show, '" the network said on Twitter.

"I'll go first because I'm the white guy", Jordan Klepper joked. Although she only went around telling her coworkers about the news this week, her last field piece "on Bernie Sanders supporters that are going to vote for Trump" will be aired tomorrow.

"We see her as a great voice - she's so dynamic and so amusing".

Williams inked a development deal with Comedy Central and will write, produce, and star in the scripted series.

The funnywoman is certainly good enough to launch her own show.
