Joe Perry collapse: Aerosmith guitarist 'better than we feared'

It's unclear at present when Perry will see release. Following this news, everybody is asking themselves, "Is Joe Perry dead?"

Guitarist Joe Perry fell ill during a concert last night in NY, but according to the Rockfest Facebook page, the Hollywood Vampires show is still on for Rockfest.

Cooper, who was singing the Spirit classic, "I Got a Line On You" at the time, appeared confused when he noticed his guitarist was missing from the stage, but he continued on with the song.

Video from the concert shows Perry sitting down on the front of the drum platform, then standing up and stumbling behind a stack of speakers.

An administrator at Coney Island Hospital confirmed Perry had undergone tests after becoming ill while performing with the Hollywood Vampires at the Ford Amphitheater in Brooklyn's Coney Island. He is not dead, but he is hospitalized.

In a statement issued by Perry in April, he said: 'Here is a gang of friends who came together really by chance and over the past year we were finally able to wrangle our schedules and the energy just fell into place. The Aerosmith guitarist was treated backstage by emergency medics, The Hollywood Reporterreported. Sources claim that initially he was in a critical condition, but now he has been moved to New York-Presbyterian Hospital on the Upper East side. The band has been on tour since May. Fans at the concert watched Perry, 65, struggle to finish a song before managing to make it off stage.

Perry allegedly went into cardiac arrest where he had to be revived by on-site paramedics who administered CPR and followed to transport him to the hospital. Let us know your opinion about the incident in the comments section below.
