Joe Perry collapses off stage in NY, taken to hospital

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry remained stable in a NY hospital Monday after he collapsed onstage during a concert Sunday night with his superstar side band, the Hollywood Vampires.

After the show, Alice Cooper tweeted that Perry was stable at a hospital.

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, pictured June 13, 2013, collapsed during a performance with the Hollywood Vampires in Brooklyn.

The Aerosmith guitarist was jamming alongside Johnny Depp and frontman Alice Cooper in Coney Island when he reportedly went into cardiac arrest around 9:30 p.m. EST. In numerous videos posted by fans regarding the Joe Perry heart attack, paramedics can be seen rushing towards the 65-year-old star before getting off the stage. "Here's hoping he's back on stage soon doing what he loves to do!"

Perry sat down and struggled to play before he had to be treated by medics during the Hollywood Vampires's first song at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. The same information was carried on the band and Perry's Twitter accounts.

As the band continued their show with stand-in guitarists and no Aerosmith songs, Perry was allegedly treated backstage.

Hollywood Vampires are in the midst of a US tour and were scheduled to appear tonight on CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".

"Thanks to everyone asking about our brother Joe Perry", Cooper wrote.

"The Hollywood Vampires continue their tour starting with July 12, at Fraze Pavillion in Kettering, Ohio", the band noted. We all love you... "His brother Vampires and fans wish him a speedy recovery".
