Bachelor and sports fans alike were shocked by Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, when contestant Jordan Rodgers aired out some family drama. The day portion went well, but then the evening portion came and he told JoJo that he was falling in love with her.
But in the comfort of their private date, Jordan shared that he is actually estranged from his pro-balling brother, as too much competition and comparison between them drove them apart. "I choose to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother (his other brother Luke)".
The younger Rodgers does attempt to throw his brother a bone, saying that he can't imagine the kind of pressure Aaron must be under, and the demands he must face from people - likely because the rigors of one year on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad can't really compare to a career spent as one of the elite QBs of all time. "I don't have hard feelings against him, it's just how things go right now".
During an intimate dinner with "Bachelorette" JoJo Fletcher, Rodgers revealed that his brother Aaron will not be at his upcoming "Hometown Date".
JoJo later said in the conversation, "So you guys don't talk at all".
Jordan: "And, um, my middle brother won't be there".
"You know, we have a relationship", Jordan Rodgers reluctantly said on the Garbage Time podcast last month, according to Terez Owens. In a sneak peek look, JoJo tells the cameras that she didn't realize how "deep" the "wound" is between Jordan and Aaron.
The Rodgers brothers' issue might have something to do with a perceived dispute they go into previous year when Jordan went against Aaron after Aaron took a verbal jab at Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson regarding God and football.
Jordan and Aaron's relationship got even more complicated in May, when Jordan was accused of cheating and wanting fame by trainer Brittany Farrar - who's also very close friends with Olivia.
Jordan Rodgers is telling all!
When it comes to Aaron and Jordan Rodgers, it is obvious that it is something Jordan doesn't love to talk about. She didn't think he'd say it, and seemed like she wished that he hadn't. JoJo has forged a strong connection with him.
WHO DO YOU THINK is going to win JoJo Fletcher's heart in the end? "When I walked away from playing - I could have kept playing - but football didn't define me". The last time Aaron and Jordan were photographed together in public was in April 2014 in Las Vegas, when they attended the 13th annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational gala.
Though the Rodgers brothers have some issues, the quarterback has had a great relationship with Munn - though the obvious question of when they will finally get engaged remains an issue. "I'm defined by the character I have with the humility I've been taught by my parents, which is what I want people to see". As much as we're rooting for the Texan to leave with the love of her life, history tells us it's never that easy, and if it were, then that would truly be shocking.
I for sure thought Robby was a goner tonight, but the bearded man-with an odd, but seemingly natural Bump It-snagged a rose from JoJo.
