Power forward Maurice Ndour, last year's summer-league sensation, is coming to Knicks training camp on a guaranteed contract, according to an National Basketball Association source.

He was mostly a backup last season, and now with the additions of Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings he should have an even smaller role in 2016-17. He averaged 4.9 points overall in 61 games, but contributed 7.8 per game as a starter.

Vujacic signed a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.

Ndour played high school basketball at Okayama Gakugeikan in Japan before playing in junior college at Monroe College in NY.

Standing at 6-foot-9, the Senegal native appears poised to provide NY some size if he is able to make the team. "Knicks fans, here I come". He played in just 18 games with Real Madrid, and averaged just 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

Ndour graduated from OH in 2015 after earning Second Team All-Mid-American Conference honors in both of his seasons in Athens.

He impressed the Knicks during the 2015 Las Vegas Summer League. The Mavericks waived Ndour prior to the start of the regular season.

He projects as a reserve wing/forward for NY, and joins Kyle O'Quinn, Willy Hernangomez, Mindaugas Kuzminskas as the club's front-line reserves.
