Antonio Conte expects N'Golo Kante to contribute a great deal to the Chelsea cause after completing a big-money switch from Leicester City.
Mahrez, who was a key component in the Foxes' unheralded title winning tilt last season, is barely 12 months into the three year deal he signed with the midlands side, which is thought to be worth £35k a week.
Sky sources understand Leicester have offered the France global a new four-year deal amid speculation that a host of European clubs are interested in signing him this summer. "It's a dream come true for me", Kante told the official site.
"He wanted to wait because he wanted to finish Euro 2016". I am sure that in the coming days we can reach our target to reinforce the team, to go closer to the other teams. I don't know about the money, I am not a manager, just a coach, so I don't speak about money.
The Foxes have sold their midfielder to the Blues for around £30m with the 25-year-old penning a five-year contract.
He added: "I don't want to speak about this kind of speculation".
"Despite the offer of a substantially improved, long-term contract, made before this summer's European Championships, it became apparent after the tournament that N'Golo's wish was to join Chelsea".
"My first season in English football was very special and now I hope to go on to achieve even more during my time as a Chelsea player", he said.
"I would like to understand if he would like to stay with me or no".
"Kante can give a lot to Chelsea to enforce and so on, [he can be] very important for us if we want to play with two central midfielders".
