The Englishman added that one of the biggest assets the Portuguese would bring with him was experience and a history of success, which he hoped would manifest themselves during his tenure at Old Trafford.

In an exclusive interview with adidas Front Row, Mourinho spoke of his pride at being the Old Trafford club's manager, and called on all supporters to get behind him and the side this season. "He's managed a lot of successful teams throughout his career and all that experience will be vital".
