BRITAIN'S Andy Murray clinched a second Wimbledon title and third grand slam crown yesterday when he downed Milos Raonic of Canada 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2).
Serena was deprived of tying Steffi Graf's impressive open era grand slam record in this years Australian and French Open finals. "You really deserve it, you are a great champion, a great person and it is always an honor to play against her".
She replied: "I prefer the word, one of the greatest "athletes" of all time".
"Serena is someone who beats records and not just equals them", said her French coach Patrick Mouratoglou.
Serena Williams has won her second Wimbledon title of the day, after beating Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova with sister Venus in the women's doubles final. Babos and Shvedova put up a fight as the fifth seeds, but the Williams sisters proved to be too much and took the match in straight sets.
