Serena Williams's Reaction to Winning Wimbledon Is the Absolute Cutest

As Williams cements her spot in the GOAT discussion, Kerber's breakthrough at age 28 is one of the biggest storylines this season.

Keeping her signature braids, Bey wore a white lace outfit with a high collar, while her husband Hov matched her in a white T-shirt.

Steffi Graf has paid tribute to Serena Williams after the American won Wimbledon to equal her record of 22 grand slam titles. With her first serve dialled in and dominant, the American was able to clinch a 7-5, 6-3 victory after one hour and 23 minutes on Centre Court. Now he has been playing for so many years, I believe that many have asked him how he can still play so well. And 18. I struggled a little with (winning number) 18.

"Time heals", said Williams' coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. Yet by Wimbledon, and by Saturday, she had restored her air of invulnerability, even against the all-grown-up Grand Slam mentality of Kerber, and largely because she had the one component that mattered most: her serve. Then, wham, wham, she had two of her 13 aces back-to-back.

In the next game, Kerber went up 40-15 but Williams began attacking and forced a break point. "That's what I do best".

Between the victory over Kerber and being called to the courts for the doubles match, Serena paraded her trophy, signed autographs, held a press conference and conducted television interviews. "I mean, the tennis player was there, but Serena as a person was not really herself so she was beatable".

It was a double delight for Serena at Wimbledon 2016 as she not only won the women's singles title, but has also notched up the women's doubles crown alongside her elder sister Venus Williams.

She said: "I had to start focusing more on the positives, and once I started doing that I realised I'm pretty good".

Williams had also lost in shocking fashion to unseeded Roberta Vinci in the semifinals of last year's U.S. Open, where she was attempting to equal Graf's record as well as complete a calendar year Grand Slam. They are now 14-0 in major doubles finals.

And later Saturday, Williams had a chance to head home with a second piece of hardware: She and Venus were scheduled to play in the women's doubles final on Centre Court.

“I have, yeah, definitely had some sleepless nights, if Im just honest, with a lot of stuff, ” Williams said about trying to get win No. 22. Once in the doubles, too, I thought it was a break and the match was over. "I didn't come from any money or anything, but I did have a dream - and that's all you really need".

"I would like to see people, the public and the press and other athletes in general just realize and respect women for who we are, what we are and what we do", she said.

"I've just felt a lot of pressure. That's really all you need".
