Tesco everyday value beef ravioli 400g.

Customers who may have purchased Tesco's own brand Beef Ravioli tins are advised to return them to their nearest Tesco shop, due to possible contamination with pieces of rubber.

- Tesco beef raviloi (400g), best before end: December 2018.

The leading chains are putting up notices around their stores in Crawley to warn customers and urge them to return several different tinned goods which could pose a health risk.

The agency added: "If you have bought any of the above products, do not eat it".

A Sainsbury's spokesman said: "It has been brought to our attention a small number of the above products may contain pieces of rubber".

A statement from the Food Standards Agency said: "As a precautionary measure Sainsbury's and Tesco are recalling the affected products and point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores where the products are sold".

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the recall on Tuesday 12 July for the following batches: LB3048 81724C, LB3049 81724C.

In June, Tesco's guacamole was recalled over fears that salmonella might have been present.
