Trump meets with VP finalists

Mike Pence introduces Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a rally in Westfield, Ind., Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich also met with Trump in IN and was seen leaving a hotel in the same motorcade as Trump's children. Chris Christie is still among the top contenders for his vice president pick, calling the New Jersey governor an "extraordinary warrior" and saying he has chemistry with him.

A Trump advisor said Trump also dined with the Pences Tuesday night.

"He could make the difference between winning and losing", said the source.

In a sign of how seriously the campaign is considering Pence, Trump was joined at the governor's residence for breakfast by his daughter Ivanka; son-in-law Jared Kushner; and sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

The lobby of the Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis suddenly became the epicenter of the 2016 campaign - with reporters and passersby straining for a sighting of Trump or any of his possible running mates, speculation running rife about the former reality star's intentions.

In the meantime, if Trump sneezes, we're sure the fine folks at NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN will let us know.

Lewandowski was sacked from the campaign in June after months of tension with other senior Trump advisers.

The businessman reportedly teased the potential of Pence serving as his running mate while addressing IN rally-goers Tuesday, saying "I don't know if he is going to be your governor or vice president".

On the other hand, this is their second meeting in a week, and Trump has a long history of unforced errors and PR blunders.

In the court filings, Nunberg said Trump filed a $10 million arbitration claim against him and falsely accused him of being a source of a New York Post story from mid-May that recounted a public quarrel between Lewandowski and campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks. In addition to hailing from a blue state that Trump is unlikely to win, Christie is distrusted by conservatives, some of whom are threatening to revolt at the convention. But Pence has a mixed record in IN, a potential swing state, and it's unclear how effective he'd be on the campaign trail.

At Tuesday's rally, Pence slammed Clinton, saying that "to paraphrase the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I think it would be "extremely careless" to elect Hillary Clinton as president". "There are a number of other noteworthy Americans that they are considering, and I'm just honoured to be on that list".

Wednesday's remarks by GOP Chairman Reince Priebus came as the 168-member Republican National Committee gathered for the first time in Cleveland.

"Mike is not going to go and defend Trump the way he needs it - the way a Newt or a Christie would, or even the way a Sessions has", the adviser said. A source close to Sheldon Adelson told CNN that the casino magnate spoke to Trump and said that "he liked Newt".

"The Trump Campaign was not in existence prior to or at the time of the agreement, and Mr. Nunberg did not agree or intend that it apply to any future entity such as the Trump Campaign", Nunberg's complaint said.

"He's a gifted debater", the source said, and "the most publicity that any VP candidate is going to get is the debate".
