As far as the D-word, the former couple filed the petition and response together without a lawyer, meaning that they coordinated their efforts.

The 44-year-old actor and the "13 Going on 30" actress officially filed for divorce last week, and sources now claim the Hollywood hunk is making the next steps to start up new relationships.

It is thought the pair both want joint legal physical custody of their three children, daughters Violet Anne and Seraphina "Sera" Rose Elizabeth, as well as son Sam.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the hard decision to divorce", the former couple said in a joint statement.

If rumours are to be believed, Affleck and Garner's divorce filing was "super amicable" and the couple had always planned to divorce.

So far neither Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have made any comments about their divorce.

This comes as the amicable exes speed-up their divorce nearly two years after they had announced they separation.

He has reportedly moved out of the guest house at the family home and is now looking for a new property, with an insider stating "he's ready to move on" following the divorce filing. A source said told the celebrity news website, "They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids". Reports say that they remained good friends and are doing things peacefully for their children.

No one knew if they were trying to make things work or just staying together but separately for the kids. They are still negotiating a financial settlement, but the divorce could be final within six months.
