Back-to-back home runs from Brandon Phillips and Adonis Garcia in the sixth inning proved the difference in the Atlanta Braves' 4-2 win over the San Diego Padres on Jackie Robinson Day on Saturday night at SunTrust Park.

Hedges entered the series against the Braves with just one hit to his credit all season, and now has three in two games against Atlanta after a hit on Friday night and two more in Saturday's game.

And the home of the Braves!

This team isn't threatened by history, embracing it before and after a 5-2 victory over the lowly San Diego Padres.

Inciarte, who had homered twice at Miami on Wednesday, connected for a two-run blast against San Diego reliever Craig Stammen in the sixth inning and the Braves defeated the Padres 5-2 before a sellout crowd of 41,149. "This place, I don't think you're going to have to necessarily crush one to get it out of here".

The new stadium, which is located in Cobb County, is estimated to have cost roughly $1.1 billion.

Run support coming along: After not scoring more than four runs in a game during the first five games of the season, the Braves scored five runs for the third time in four games. Attending the new, modern ballpark is a better experience, he said.

On the road the Braves have struggled early this season and are going to have to turn around their play on the road if they hope to become surprise contenders.

Knoxville native Michael Noce was certainly happy to visit the new park for the opener.

Ramirez, making his first start in the majors after 111 relief appearances, was pulled after 75 pitches and five innings, both career highs (see full recap). He said the pitch "was really moving", especially in his last two innings. While the park boasts loads of interesting dining options, miles of bathroom facilities and pretty good views from even the cheapest seat, there's nothing terribly unique about it, in his assessment. The Impact, playing their first match at Saputo Stadium and second in Montreal, improved to 1-2-3 after a winless three-game trip. But Chacin and Manuel Margot had two-out RBI singles in the second to tie the game for the Padres (5-6) as Teheran's streak of not allowing an earned run came to an end at 23 2/3 innings dating to last season.

The Padres reinstated catcher Hector Sanchez from the seven-day concussion disabled list and recalled right-hander Kevin Quackenbush from Triple-A El Paso. The Braves haven't reached the postseason since 2013, and they've gotten off to a slow start so far this season.

Braves: OF Matt Kemp (hamstring) ran before the game and isn't expected to need a rehab stint in the minors before he's eligible to return on Tuesday. For his big league career, Cahill now owns a 4.04 ERA over the course of 263 regular season appearances, 175 starts and 1,155 innings of work in all.

Cahill was hurt by three wild pitches that helped the Braves score two runs in the fifth. While it won't have the same pomp and circumstance as Friday, it will be a chance to set the tone for SunTrust Park, where the Braves are undefeated in their only game.
