A massive manhunt was underway April 9, 2017 in search of Jakubowski, a "highly-dangerous" Wisconsin man who US authorities said robbed a gun shop and sent a lengthy manifesto to US President Donald Trump.
Authorities said they were increasing security presence at local churches because of "anti-religion sentiment" contained within a 160-page manifesto they believe was written by Jakubowski and sent to Trump at the White House.
Earlier in the week, police said a man matching Jakubowski's appearance visited the Bethlehem Lutheran Church to ask about services, but it was later confirmed that he is not the suspect.
Thirty-two-year-old Joseph Jakubowski is accused of taking a large quantity of handguns and rifles from a gun shop Tuesday night in Janesville, about 70 miles southwest of Milwaukee. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
On Tuesday night, police also responded to a report of a auto fire and discovered a burned vehicle registered to Jabukowski, located just a short distance from the gun shop that was burglarized.
"We always want to hinge on the side of safety", police spokesman Joseph Hack said. A $10, oo0 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
The community continues to provide investigators with outstanding assistance and cooperation, contributing to hundreds of tips and leads to follow in this investigation, but authorities still need more information.
Investigators are focusing manpower locally because of the significant threat authorities believe is being posed by a local resident, Spoden said.
A force of 150 law enforcement personnel, including Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, continued their manhunt for Jakubowski on Sunday.
Moore told reporters: "There was one specific case where he attempted to disarm a police officer".
Jakubowski became the subject of a FBI-led search after allegedly stealing weapons from a Janesville gun store last week, and mailing a 161 page manifesto to President Trump, including threats. "He is described as a white male with green eyes and brown hair, who stands 5'10" tall and weighs around 200 pounds.
"It's just an overview that he feels that government and law enforcement, in particular, are acting as terrorists and enslaving the people and creating this environment that he finds unacceptable", the Sheriff added.
