LeBron James, Kyrie Irving ruled out for Cleveland

Next Up: The Cavs will play the Heat in Miami on Monday night at 7:30 pm.

James and Irving sat out last night's game in order to rest respective calf and knee ailments.

21 - The number of losses the Cavaliers amassed on the road this season, giving them an under-.500 mark for the year.

After blowing a 26-point lead and losing in overtime to the Atlanta Hawks, LeBron James and two of his Cleveland Cavaliers licked their wounds by partying in Miami. If they win both of those games, Miami will then need either IN or Chicago to lose one of their next two games. "We've learned over the years what works and what motivates them, and now we can bring all of that together in one place along with the right resources and experts".

Hassan Whiteside had 23 points, 18 rebounds and two blocks and a couple of clutch free throws late himself, and Josh Richardson had 19 pints, six rebounds, four assists and five steals.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were rested as Deron Williams top-scored for Cleveland with 35 points, but he also had 10 turnovers. The Cavs are 24-4 in the East playoffs since his return, and no opponent has had an answer for LeBron's versatility and ability to pick teams apart with both his scoring and his passing.

Love echoed that sentiment: "The idea of getting locked in and having a do-or-die mentality, knowing that we can be sent home, I think that is a good calling for this team".

Cleveland's lineup listed above was posted as part of the team's media notes for tonight's game and is subject to change. Clapping could be heard from the TD Garden locker room, where Boston players were tuned in after their win on Monday. The Celtics play the Brooklyn Nets tonight. "We're the No. 1 seed right now, and it's our job to take care of business tomorrow". Even with a victory, the Heat would still need a loss by the Indiana Pacers (41-40) or the Chicago Bulls (40-41) to reach the postseason.

The Heat now lead the season series against the Cavaliers 2-1 and have won a franchise-record 12 straight games against them at home. Cleveland may have been embarrassed by the Atlanta Hawks in their last two games, but Cleveland's stake in this game isn't as pressing as Miami's.

In Oakland, Golden State starts Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were watching from the bench in the fourth quarter as the injury depleted Utah Jazz completed a 105-99 victory that ended the Warriors' 14-game winning streak. Kevin Love leads in rebounds with 11.1 per game while Tristan Thompson tops in blocks with 1.1 per game.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr, his team already assured of home court advantage throughout the playoffs, was careful with the playing time of his stars.
