Someone has a chance to change their life forever if they win Wednesday night's $375 million Powerball jackpot. The last victor got $60 million on April 1 in Arizona, lottery officials said.

One lucky person could become a multi-millionaire after Wednesday night's Powerball drawing. It matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball number. There were three grand prize winners who split the jackpot and took lump sum cash payouts equaling $328 million. Across North Carolina, 48,673 tickets won prizes.

Meanwhile, the Mega Millions game, which costs half as much to play, has only had four jackpots in its history that topped $400 million. Matching all five regular numbers in any order and the red Powerball will win you the jackpot. The prize was $50,000 but the player also had purchased the Power Play option making the ticket worth $150,000.

While past performance is not indicative of future results, more winning Powerball jackpot tickets have been sold in IN, 39, than any other place since the game began in April 1992. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the odds of winning that Powerball were 1 in 292 million. There are 11,000 retail outlets in the state of MI that sell Powerball tickets.

"It's exciting to see more Powerball players in our state winning big prizes", said Alice Garland, the lottery's executive director.
