Apple refreshes MacBook and MacBook Pro at WWDC 2017

Apple called the iMac Pro the "most powerful Mac we've ever made", and CEO Tim Cook called it "badass" onstage. It can facilitate Kaby Lake processors up to 3.5 GHz Core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 4.0 GHz for the 13-inch model. They also support up to twice the memory.

The iMac Pro features a 5K display and, thanks to the added muscle under the hood, can support two additional 5K displays, something Apple says it has never offered before.

Apple announced updates to the MacBook Pro lineup in June 2017, building on the new design introduced in October 2016. SSD storage options are now up to 50 percent faster, and iMac comes with Thunderbolt 3, the most powerful and versatile port ever. All-Flash storage is configurable at up to 4 TB, 2666 MHz DDR4 ECC RAM scales to 128 GB, and two Thunderbolt 3 controllers are built in for accessing external storage and other devices. The base model of the iMac will have the Intel Iris Plus Graphics that is claimed to be 80% faster than the previous generation GPU. The 21.5 inch iMac, 21.5 inches iMac Retina 4k at $1,099 While, iMac Retina 5k 27-inch begins at $1,799.

Apple's 21.5-inch iMac 2017, which has a full HD resolution display and the latest Intel 7th generator i5 processor, is priced at Rs 90,900.

We should also mention that Apple has updated its MacBook and MacBook Pro lines. What really makes it stand out, however, is the computing power that Apple has stuffed in this slim AiO chassis - "up to 18-Core Processors, 22 Teraflops of GPU Performance, Fast Storage and Advanced I/O".

The 13-inch MacBook will start at $1,300.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro now comes with more powerful discrete graphics in its standard configuration. The new models start at $1,299 and go up to $4,199.
