Remember those blue print images and rough sketches suggesting a vertical dual camera setup?Well, around 10 days before the launch event, which is on 20th June, company made a decision to shut the false rumors to rest and showed a glimpse of the original OnePlus 5.
The image gives us nearly a complete view of the back of the handset, showing off two camera lenses, with an antenna band running above them and a OnePlus logo below. A lot has been talked about the OnePlus 5, and if the rumours are to be believed, OnePlus 5 will come with 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel dual-camera setup. Fans are upbeat about its horizontal dual-camera setup and an LED flash unit on the back panel. The charge covers a T-shirt, an invite to the event, a backpack, sunglasses, a voucher worth Rs 999 credited to their account, and a OnePlus 5 invite code.
If you are familiar with OnePlus smartphones ever since the company first entered the market, you probably know about the invite system that was in place earlier. The photo shows the back side of the gadget, which reveals an obvious similarity with the design of the iPhone 7. The OnePlus 5 features curved antenna lines along the top edge. The company will launch the phone in Mumbai and is giving out official invites for it. OnePlus has also announced a contest where you can win the new OnePlus 5 smartphone.
OnePlus is joining the likes of Apple, LG and Huawei, who all introduced dual lens cameras in their latest devices.
Recently, a True-tech.net report mentioned the price quoting "reliable sources" and said OnePlus 5 would be launched with two storage and RAM variants - 64GB/6GB and 128GB/8GB. For a few weeks now, OnePlus has been letting out a bunch of details about the OnePlus 5 every now and then.
The official snap also reveals that the OnePlus 5 will sport a metal unibody design, suspiciously similar to that of the iPhone 7.
OnePlus' tweet has also linked to landing page for the OnePlus 5 India launch.
The OnePlus 5 launch event will also reveal other details about the phone, such as the inclusion of the 3.5mm headphone jack, storage options, color options, and the screen material.
