Mayweather v McGregor: UFC star's new betting partner offers 49/1 odds on him to win | Boxing | Sport

Based on what's being said on social media and doing the rounds online, you'd assume that the UFC's Conor McGregor is preparing for a fight against Paulie Malignaggi.

Photos of the leak and the characterization of Malignaggi being knocked down caused the New Yorker Malignaggi to storm out of McGregor's training camp, calling McGregor a "scumbag" as he asked for the full length sparring session to be released.

UFC president Dana White has released a video of Paulie Malignaggi sparring Conor McGregor in the build-up to the Irishman's clash with Floyd Mayweather.

We're sure nearly everyone has heard the song Mick Konstantin wrote about Conor McGregor.

Malignaggi said he accepted the offer with the intention of simply helping McGregor but figured out early on that McGregor's motivation was to make himself look good at Malignaggi's expense. The sparring partners that were in the house with him were anxious that night, saying he's incoherent, he's stumbling.

The other video posted by White, shows McGregor clearly landing a series of punches against Malignaggi, including a head-rocking left.

"There's only one Conor McGregor, and there's no fighter better/ And he's going to knock out Floyd Mayweather/ So Floyd watch out cos the Irish are coming/ You can talk all you want, buy you'll do nothin!"

"He was flattened against the ropes; multiple times the ropes kept him on his feet".

But whatever happens at T-Mobile Arena, McGregor said he doesn't think this will be his last time in the ring. He was certainly badly concussed. So let me give him some knowledge, so that he can see. And then he just got out and went running.

"All of these record-breaking events and the numbers that are associated with that, all is because of Floyd Mayweather". "Martin Luther King, Malcolm X. They went on the front line for me and my family and all my loved ones". This never came up during Mayweather's back-and-forth with the assembled media, but Leonard Ellerbe said that it wouldn't bother Mayweather in the least if some folks insisted on attaching an asterisk to it. Let him watch, let him try and study, but you can not prepare for this.
