Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, or GLOW, was a pretty big deal back in the eighties, and it looks like it's a big deal once again as Netflix comedy series, GLOW, has been renewed for a second season. Kate Nash, Jackie Tohn and Kia Stevens - the only actress with wrestling experience - also round out the 14-women ensemble featured on the first season, which released its 10 episodes on June 23.
It was praised by critics, receiving a 96 per cent approval rating from review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. Alison Brie (Community, Sleeping With Other People) stars, along with Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie, True Story) and Marc Maron (Almost Famous, Marc Maron: Thinky Pain).
The announcement came on Twitter, where Netflix shared the teaser video below. Nevertheless, GLOW Season 2 is definitely happening, and while there aren't any details available, we expect the same incredible cast to return (seriously, could Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noelle, Marc Maron, or Britney Young have been any more ideal?), and Netflix confirms that showrunners Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch will be back, along with executive producers Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann.
Thier original shows and films are becoming extremely popular and one show that seemed to really win the hearts of viewers was GLOW.
