When the Vikings were able to finally get into the endzone in the third quarter with a run up the middle by fullback and Duluth native CJ Ham-Kai Forbath stepped up and promptly Blair Walshed the extra point wide. However, the Buccaneers are certainly one of the most up-and-coming teams in the league right now so I think they'll have no issues improving to 2-0 this weekend and a snatching their first road win of the year.
"I don't think we're in the tank", the coach said.
Running back Le'Veon Bell saw his carries jump by 17 (from 10 to 27) and improved his rushing total from 32 to 87 yards.
Coach Mike Zimmer said Monday Bradford twisted his knee during the Saints game, and Bradford said he realized Tuesday morning the pain was more noticeable than he'd expected.
Bradford injured his left knee in their 29-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints last week, and he was a limited participant in two practice sessions last week.
GETTING BETTER: The Steelers' offense improved statistically from what it had managed during the regular-season opener at Cleveland. "I'm going to get better this week in practice and go out and play hard again".
"I would like to think that (my chances of playing) are good, but I think a lot of it just depends on how my knee responds when we go out there and practice this week", Bradford said. Bryant had caught two passes for 14 yards in Cleveland.
"I was hoping it was going to feel better (for last week's game) than it did having rested a day really on Saturday", Bradford said.
We'll get the full injury report later this afternoon.
"They gave us looks that we could have taken advantage of, which we did".
Still, as the Vikings begin preparations for Sunday's game at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, little is known about Bradford's knee injury. The Atlanta Falcons also got a bump from No. 4 to No. 2 after finding a way to beat the Green Bay Packers. I'm excited to see what we do in the next game and what we learn from the next game. "Once we cut that out, we're going to be even better".
