Ivana Trump speculates her daughter Ivanka could run for presidency

The office of First Lady Melania Trump issued an official statement on Monday in response to comments made by Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife, during a previous interview with Good Morning America.

"It was definitely me", she said. Instead she fired up a statement via spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham.

In Raising Trump, Ivana also muses about her children's future careers and even tips Ivanka for a run for the White House in 15 years.

Ivana said she has no interest in being first lady of the United States, but would love to be "First Mother".

In the book, Ms. Ivana writes glowingly about her marriage to Mr. Trump and her prominent role at the Trump Organization.

"There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise", the First Lady's statement concluded.

While blaming Maples for the collapse of her first marriage, she said she's "not sure" if she blames Donald for the affair because she claims he could have picked any girl he wanted.

To Melania's credit, Ivana is trying to sell a new book, titled Raising Trump. The first was Ronald Reagan, but his first wife, the Oscar-winning actress Jane Wyman, never spoke publicly about her ex.

Ivana has mostly (and, perhaps, understandably) held most of her public ire for Maples.

"I know that he was not involved at all in any wrongdoing", she said. "And if you want to get your words across rightly, without telling The New York Times, which is going to twist every single word of yours, this is how you get your message out, '" Trump said she told her ex-husband.

First Lady Melania Trump is coming to West Virginia to visit a drug treatment facility for infants born to addicted mothers.

"Sometimes I tell him to just, not to speak that much, and tweet are the tweets", she said. She said with a laugh. Donald Trump is only the second divorced man to be elected to the presidency. "So I really don't have an answer on that".

She declined to talk about the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape, saying, "I don't want to go into it".
