John O'Korn will be the start as Michigan (4-0) plays rival Michigan State at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC this Saturday.

MI quarterback Wilton Speight is expected to miss "multiple weeks" due to an undisclosed injury, Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh announced Monday.

O'Korn took over for Speight following an injury against Purdue in September, a game MI won. Harbaugh has yet to detail the exact nature of the injury.

Michigan will be without starting quarterback Wilton Speight against Michigan State. "I thought it was egregious", Harbaugh said last week.

Brandon Peters will be the backup and Dylan McCaffrey is QB No. 3. With a little more than five minutes left in the first quarter, the signal caller was sacked by Markus Bailey before absorbing another hit from Eddy Wilson on his way to the ground.

Well, the wait is over and on Monday, Harbaugh told media members that John O'Korn will make the start against the Spartans this coming Saturday night at Michigan Stadium.

"It meant a lot for me, even if I don't play the rest of the year, to be able to go out and beat my former coach", O'Korn said. O'Korn relieved him and completed 18 of 26 passes for 270 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He was completing just 54.3 percent of his passes for 581 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs.
