Authorities are still on the scene of plane crash in the Cherokee National Forest in Monroe County as of Monday morning.

The status of the instructor and student on board the aircraft is unknown at this time.

The station writes that investigators are keeping civilians three miles away from the crash site because the jet had explosives in it.

"It's something we're going to have to look into", she says.
