With the unusual weather this Halloween season, local law enforcement wants to remind residents about trick or treat safety.

Trick-or-treating hours in Kokomo are from 6 to 8 p.m. this year, and the sun will be setting long before the fun is over.

Auburn police are holding their "PAL-oween!" at the Auburn PAL Center at 24 Chestnut Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. Many area churches are also hosting "trunk-or-treat" events, which can be an easy way to get a lot of treats without going from door-to-door.
Trick-or-treating will be postponed in Pelham until Saturday, Nov. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Rapid City Police Officer Robert Mathies says, "I suggest that their parents go through their candy and what they get from houses with their children and if they deem that they don't want their children to have it, they should do as they see fit to take it away from them".
