This plan from Airtel can finally compete with the offerings of Jio as it now includes 100 free SMS per day which was the only major difference in the offerings of the two companies.

Under this 179 plan, Idea prepaid customers are offered unlimited local and STD calls along with 1 GB data for 28 days. Check more details of Airtel Rs 448 offer from here below. Once users subscribe to this plan, they'll receive 300GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day.

Hours after we reported about Idea Cellular announcing a brand new plan to counter the onslaught of Jio, we now have reports coming in of Airtel updating one of its older plans to offer more data for the same price. Moreover, Jio'S Rs 399 plan has a validity of 70 days while Idea's Rs 357 plan comes with a validity of 28 days. The modified plan included unlimited outgoing calls on roaming. Customers can also avail 50 percent discount on the data plan by paying via Airtel Payments Bank.

Apart from this plan, Airtel also rolled out another plan worth Rs.448 that offers similar benefits - 1GB data per day - with free incoming and outgoing roaming calls. Under the Rs 496 plan, the telco is offering unlimited local and STD calls and 84GB data for 84 days.

1GB quota exceeds speed will reduce to 64 kbps. Now, the company is back with a new long-term data and voice combo plan for its prepaid subscribers. It also comes with unlimited free calls within the same network (both local and STD) and 3,000 minutes of free calls to non-Idea numbers with a cap of 300 minutes per day and 1,200 minutes a week (30 paise per minute to be charged after crossing the limit). It also offers 1GB 3G/4G data per day and you also get free 100 SMSes with the pack. "With our Rs 179 recharge we will enable customers to continue their conversations non-stop", Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular said.
