Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy 15 announced for Tekken 7

Bandai Namco's Tekken 7 was undoubtedly one of the biggest fighting games this year and is still rolling.

There's a new fighter coming to Tekken 7 and it's Final Fantasy XV's Noctis Lucis Caelum. Oh, and he's buddies with Lars.

You can check out the reveal trailer below, showing Tekken 7 Noctis gameplay and Cid's gas station, Hammerhead, as the character's companion stage.

Additionally, some of the Tekken 7 Noctis moves are shown to include elements of magic.

From this trailer (seen above), we can get a few ideas of what it will be like to play as the Final Fantasy protagonist.

This is certainly a very interesting addition to Tekken 7's roster, with a character from the Final Fantasy series certainly coming out of left field.

Noctis will join the game as DLC arriving in spring 2018, although as a guest character, he will not have his own story mode, being available to use in the rest of modes.

Tekken 7 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The inclusion of Noctis in Tekken is certainly a surprising one, but it's not like Final Fantasy characters haven't turned up in fighting games before.
