Blizzard Entertainment kicked off BlizzCon 2017 the right way, giving Overwatch fans plenty of reasons to celebrate during the opening ceremony. But the most interesting of all, was a brand-new hero named Moira, a shadowy character with ties to Talon and Reaper's past, who focuses on dealing damage, while healing her teammates. It's not entirely clear how her abilities work, but it seems that she will function kind of like Zenyatta in that players will need to swap between damage and healing.
The official Overwatch website lists her as Moira O'Deorain, aged 48 and a Geneticist by occupation. You can get a sampling of Moira's abilities in the trailer above, though we don't know when we'll be able to play her outside of Blizzcon yet.
Biotic Grasp - Using her left hand, Moira expends biotic energy to heal allies in front of her. Continuing to expand on the game's multiplayer content, a new playable character and multiplayer map have been showcased.
Along with BlizzardWorld, we also saw a brand new hero, Moira. Her ultimate looks like a combined super-beam that heals all allies caught in it, or drains all enemies. Blizzard World will be a hybrid map, meaning that the first part of the map will be capture point, and after the first point has been captured, will evolve into a payload map.
That was in reference to BlizzardWorld, a new map coming to the game that takes the form of a fantastic Blizzard theme park.
Huh. Do you think there's a Heroes of the Storm ride at Blizzard World?
