'SNL': James Franco, Kevin Hart To Host December Episodes

The actor has served as the special guest of the night twice before, but it has been a while.

Confirming the previous announcement, NBC reveals that Saoirse Ronan will host the December 2 episode. See the official announcement tweet from the show here. His musical guest will be platinum-selling artist SZA, who will likely be belting out songs from her debut album Ctrl. It will be Franco's first time on SNL since 2009. This visit is to promote their 14th studio album, "Songs of Experience", out December 1.

Those SNL episodes will round out December's three-week run of new shows. The New Jersey native is also being discussed as a possible contender at the 2018 Grammys, particularly in the Best New Artist category.

Finally, SNL will wrap up its holiday schedule on December 16th, with an episode hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.

On Dec. 16, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star Kevin Hart will guest host SNL, while Foo Fighters will take the stage and sing.
