Whole Foods Market is looking for a whole lot of new team members. CFO Brian Olsavsky said that the company plans to add locations in California, Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas.

Founded on September 20, 1980, Whole Foods, which is based in Austin, Texas, has been on the Forbes list of "100 Best Companies to Work For" for 20 straight years.

According to Whole Foods, applicants may apply online in advance to save time, then head to their local stores on Thursday to ask for interviews. As many as 6,000 jobs are available, including cashiers, culinary experts and prepared food specialists.

Whole Foods Market is searching for passionate, food-focused candidates to join its team.

Amazon didn't hesitate to make its mark after it scooped up the grocery chain in August.

Since Amazon bought Whole Foods, the grocer has undergone a number of changes, from lower prices to discounts for Amazon Prime members.

Anyone who visits one of its stores will receive an interview.
