The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. Brisk winds in the 10 to 20 miles per hour range caused wind chills to drop to bitterly cold levels between -20 and -30, with areas of central Wisconsin seeing dangerously cold wind chills near -35. Wind chills tonight and Sunday will range from -10 to -20 degrees. The temperature will drop to minus 1 with a wind chill as low as 15-below zero New Year's Eve. If your New Year's Eve plans take you outside for any length of time, be sure to limit your cold exposure if possible and dress in plenty of layers.

The Chicago National Weather Service has issued a combination of Wind Chill Warnings and Advisories across the entire Chicago area from 9PM CST Sunday evening until noon CST Tuesday calling for risky wind chills -20 to -35-degrees. Skies will be clear, the breezes will be biting, and the temperatures and the wind chills will both be bitterly cold.

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear.

The National Weather Service has highs in the single digits to low teens through Friday, and lows in the single digits below and above zero.

Tuesday is when temperatures will reach the single digits above zero.
