A Christian school teacher was arrested after her significant other supposedly strolled in on her while she was engaging in sexual relations with a 15-year-old understudy prior this month.
She was arrested from her home located near Curtin in Douglas County on Friday.
However, the investigators first got to know about the alleged affair through the student's parents who claimed they received an anonymous email asking whether they knew about his teenage son's alleged sexual relationship with Barber.
Baber's husband told authorities he found his wife and the teenager at home, where they were "partially unclothed", the newspaper said. He also alleged that she had occasionally given him marijuana and alcohol. The email included photos of Baber and the boy.
Police arrested Baber this past Friday on "suspicion of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, first-degree online sexual corruption of a minor", as well as the "unlawful delivery of marijuana to a person under 18 years of age".
It's also unclear when Baber stopped working at Logos Christian Academy, which did not immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.
Baber was arraigned Monday afternoon and released from the Douglas County Jail, court records show.
A search warrant was served at Baber's home on Territorial Highway in Cottage Grove on December 15. She was arraigned on Monday and will be back in court in March, according to the newspaper.
According to court documents, authorities learned during the investigation that Baber's husband had reported the situation to child protective services.
The sheriff's office identified Baber as a former teacher, but she remains on the school's online staff directory.
According to Andrea's biography posted on the website, the teacher teaches language and literature, speech communication and writing. "Andrea has always felt called to work with youth and is very excited that God opened the door for her to be part of the Logos team", the site reads.
