I'd leave the pitch in a coffin for Mourinho, says Terry

Jose Mourinho, one suspects, is not the sort for regrets but in a business littered with big calls on players that backfired, his decision to let Kevin De Bruyne leave Chelsea nearly four years ago continues to climb the charts.

"Man City, I think he improves their starting XI, Man United certainly".

Terry, who joined Aston Villa last summer on a free transfer, insists Conte's preparation is extremely tough. He is the best surprise from the start of this season, despite his young age. "Oh behave! You creep", Carragher joked when Terry started naming his side, saying that he "must be after a job at Sky".

"It was pre-season, and the first thing he said was to get the balls out".

'But I think (Christensen) has the right characteristics to play for this club for many years, to become an important player for this team, for this club.

"I didn't want to play in the Prem, that was a big thing for me, I didn't want to play against Chelsea, but [I gave] Clem the service because I felt I owed that to him, what he had done for me and how he helped me growing up". He's a serious person, always committed.

"Every time I have made a decision to give Christensen the opportunity to play, he has given an unbelievable performance and convinced me he has to play regularly", Conte said.

Listening to JT speak has been a feature of our lives for most of the past two decades, so this segment, at least for me, brought up a few nostalgic feelings of days and teams and glories past. "That's what you have to do at these top clubs".

Conte said: "I will continue in this way".

"[Clement is a] great man manager, someone I spoke to personally over the summer, just a great manger and a really good guy as well, " said Terry.

Conte led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge, despite switching to an unfamiliar 3-4-3 formation.

Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes combine in central midfield, although Terry was then asked to pick between those two and former Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard for who was the best. Chelsea have found a player who can have the same career as some of the best defenders here.
