For Phoenix, look for a high of 79 Sunday with partly cloudy skies, 72 Monday with partly cloudy skies, 70 Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and breezy wins, in the mid-70s for the remainder of the week with generally sunny skies. Rain returns to the forecast on Tuesday ahead of a rather strong cold front.

Thursday should be mostly sunny with a high near 40 and a low around 24.

But according to the National Weather Service at State College, cold air is on the way by midweek, and there is a chance of some light snow by next weekend. Highs in the lower 50s. Lows fall mainly to the low-to-mid 30s. While not out of the ordinary for this time of year, temperatures will be dropping to around 30 degrees, but it will still be chilly if you're staying outside for any long periods of time.

Today will start off as partly sunny and gradually become sunny with a high of 52. Tuesday's forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day and night with the high temperature in the mid-50s and a low in the mid-30s.

High pressure built into the East Coast on Friday and that provided plenty of sunshine for the viewing area. Once the front sweeps offshore, some sharply colder air should arrive later next week and may stick around through the middle of the month as a colder weather pattern sets up.
