Omarosa Manigault Newman dismisses reports of dramatic US White House firing

Roberts' displeasure with Omarosa was written all over her face as she said this after the segment ended: "She says she has a story to tell and I'm sure she will be selling that story".

"What's fascinating to me about the Trump White House in general, is that traditionally in politics when you're staffing for a principal one of the main things you want are people that are not going to be seen and not be heard and fade into the background", McCain shared.

Omarosa says Ryan was the "only person" reporting that she was escorted off White House grounds - which isn't true because reporters like the New York Times' Yamiche Alcindor also tweeted similar conclusions.

According to a June White House report, Manigault Newman earned a $179,700 annual salary - the maximum possible for an executive branch employee.

Three women have come forward to accuse actor Dustin Hoffman of sexual misconduct, including one who said he exposed himself to her when she was in high school, Variety reports.

Her life now seems destined to include writing a tell-all book about her time at the White House. Instead she said, she and Kelly sat down in the situation room and had "a very straightforward discussion about concerns that I've had and issues that I've raised and as a result I resigned".

■ Newman made a round of television appearances Thursday, telling her side of the story.

One of her main roles at the White House was to reach out to several constituency groups. "So, now that she went on and was talking about what her experience was in the White House and how uncomfortable she was, we got the OK to go ahead and express our stories".

Her resignation from her job as director of communications for the office of the public liaison is effective January 20.

Newman also noted that working with staffers in the Trump administration, most of whom are white, was "very lonely", and that many "had never worked with minorities" and "didn't know how to interact with them". She's just been so nasty to so many women, and so many women of color.

Since her stint as a contestant on the first season of Trump's former reality TV show, "The Apprentice", in 2004, Manigault Newman has enjoyed a close relationship with the NY businessman, even after he uttered his "You're fired" catchphrase and booted her from the program.

Two other women told Variety Hoffman sexually assaulted them while filming 1987's Ishtar.

She was sacked three times from his shows, but she became a favourite of Trump, who invited her to participate in subsequent iterations of the show.
