And it has thrown into doubt whether FA president Prince William - Harry's brother - will present the trophy to the winning captain as usual.

Since the news of the latest royal engagement - between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle - was announced last month, the first question on everyone's mind was, "When's the date?"

Markle is planning to get baptised in the Church of England ahead of her marriage and will apply for British citizenship, as well as giving up her global charity campaigning.

The announcement that the ceremony is on a Saturday also goes against the tradition that royal weddings are usually held during the week. The palace revealed that Markle has met them on many occasions.

The star of the TV dramas Luther and The Wire was a beneficiary of the charity, and was asked about role models who are black or of mixed race, and whether Ms Markle's profile could make a difference to young people. More are expected to tune in for Prince Harry, thanks to Markle's US ties.

Meghan however, has been luckily able to enjoy her freedom quite a lot thanks to Prince Harry who is known to not really abide by the royal rules.

"The point is that our society is one of mixed heritage and it's nice to see Meghan within the Royal family".
