Home News & Updates Jio Happy New Year 2018 Plans revealed By Nishith Gupta- Dec 22 2017

Reliance Jio has added two new plans to its portfolio.

Currently, Jio offers prepaid plans as cheap as Rs 19 that offers 0.15 GB of data for a day while the costliest Rs 9,999 plan offers 360 days of validity and 750 GB of data.

For high data users, it has launched Rs 299 plan. The Rs. 149 plan with a validity period of 28 days gets you 4GB data in all, and is aimed at those with limited data needs.

The youngest kid on the block is also the most disruptive.

The central network in this rival is Reliance Jio.

Under the Rs 199 plan, a Jio prepaid user can use up to 1.2GB of high-speed 4G data for 28 days, after which the data speeds would be reduced to 128kbps. It will follow the standard billing cycle.

According to a July report from OpenSignal, Airtel was ranked on top of the fastest 4G speeds rankings.

Airtel prepaid users in metros, including New Delhi can now avail the prepaid data pack. As mentioned before, all plans come with free voice calling, national roaming, SMS, and access to Jio's services for Prime members.

The free calls on this operator are limited up to 250 per day and 1,000 per week. It will provide the benefits like unlimited STD and local calls, roaming calls, free 100 SMS for a day. In the new RC 509 pack, we can get the 84 days of validity.

Like Airtel and Reliance Jio, Vodafone also has similar 4G data offerings for its subscriber base.

The plans price data at roughly the same levels as the current long-term plans. Here is the complete information regarding the presently available packs which are providing 1GB of 4G data per day.

The validity of this pack extends up to 49 days. There is cap on the bundled calls - users can make up to 250 minutes of calls per day and 1,000 minutes per week without charge. Both the plans have a validity of 28 days. We'd expect the other telecom operators to also get more aggressive in the coming year with their tariff plans. So, for those who doesn't want to spend much on the data plans, then this is a best option. Jio offers unlimited SMS while Airtel offers 100 SMS per day.

Meanwhile, the company has extended the cashback offer until December 25. Also, users are not allowed to call more than 100 unique numbers in a week; in this case, the calls will be charged at 1 paisa per second. This plan offers 750GB data for a year.
