The White House dismissed the effort, telling Politico that Green and the others who voted with him are "extremists".
Green's new eight-page resolution accuses the Republican president of "high misdemeanors", citing "harm to American society to the manifest injury of the people of the United States".
At least a handful of fellow Democrats may vote for Green's resolution. Green argues that Trump has committed a high misdeed and is unfit to be president and warrants impeachment, trial and removal from office.
The articles claim Trump brought shame and dishonor to the office of the president by being associated "with causes rooted in white supremacy, bigotry, racism, anti-Semitism, white nationalism, or neo-Nazism".
Green also has cited Trump lashing out at NFL players who kneeled during the National Anthem to protest police brutality and his Muslim travel ban.
"Democrats are firmly focused on taking real, effective steps to improve the lives of hard-working Americans and defeating Republicans' cruel barrage of attacks on the middle class", Pelosi and Hoyer said in a joint statement.
"The special counsel's investigation is moving forward as well, and those inquiries should be allowed to continue", she added, referring to Robert Mueller. "I will tell them that tomorrow we will bring articles of impeachment to the floor of the Congress of United States of America for a vote".
Only a few weeks after it was announced six House Democrats were introducing articles of impeachment against Donald Trump, the House of Representatives has made a decision to table the proposal.
The top two Democrats in the House of Representatives came out Wednesday against an effort to impeach President Trump, shortly before the House is expected to vote to kill the effort.
The effort is certain to lose.
