Thursday will see a 30 percent chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m., turning into a chance of rain in the afternoon, then a 60 percent chance of rain and snow at night. The dreary precipitation will be accompanied by a drop in temperatures in the tri-state region.
A light to moderate snowfall is expected early Tuesday, and though only a small amount of accumulation is in the forecast, the timing could affect the morning commute.
The advisory has been issued for northern West Virginia, by Pittsburgh's National Weather Service.
