The announcement comes four years after the 45-year-old described her separation from first husband Chris Martin as a "conscious uncoupling". Meanwhile another image inside, captured by Steven Pan, shows off Paltrow's engagement ring as the couple embrace.

Wedding planning is going to be on Gwyneth Paltrow's agenda for 2018 as the actress yesterday confirmed that she's engaged to Brad Falchuk.

"We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship", said the couple.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk confirm engagement.

So why did the actress decide to give marriage another shot?

Inside the new "Sex & Love" issue, which is available on January 9, Paltrow also speaks with relationship psychologist Esther Perel, rounds up some of the world's most romantic destinations and, you guessed it, makes recommendations for "toxin-free yoni products".

Paltrow and Falchuck have largely avoided media attention throughout their relationship, skipping red carpets together and dodging the paparazzi, but they have shared some Instagram love as of late.

Paltrow and Falchuk were first linked in July 2014 following the actress' split from Martin.

Falchuk, 46, has two children, Brody and Isabella, from his 10-year marriage to Suzanne Bukinik, which ended in a divorce filing in March 2013.

Brad Falchuk, an American television writer, director, and producer, is best known for co-creating the comedy-drama television series Glee and the horror-drama anthology series American Horror Story.
