Jerry Van Dyke, the younger broader of comedian Dick Van Dyke, died Friday, according to multiple reports.

The actor died in his Arkansas ranch Friday, the New York Times reported. She says they were involved in a vehicle accident over 2 years ago. and Jerry's health had deteriorated since.

Jerry got his start in acting on his brother's classic TV series The Dick Van Dyke Show in 1962, when he was cast as Stacey Petrie.

Van Dyke went into show business, just like his brother.

Van Dyke was born in Danville, Illinois and carried a decades-long career in television that started with a debut on the iconic Dick Van Dyke Show. While it is unclear if Jerry's brother Dick was present at the time of his passing, Shirley did confirm that the brothers spent time together while Dick visited them for Christmas last month.

Jerry Van Dyke played Assistant Coach Luther Van Dam alongside Craig T. Nelson on the show "Coach" for 9 seasons. He also had major roles on "Yes, Dear" and most recently, "The Middle".

After "Coach" ended, Van Dyke continued to make guest appearances in sitcoms like "Yes, Dear", "Raising Hope" and "My Name is Earl".
