Despite winning the Premier League title and reaching the FA Cup final in his first season, there have been doubts around Conte's position at the club since the start of the season. "He used serious words", Conte said. In one moment you stay here; in another moment you are in another place and another person replaces you and your job. I have a lot of experience in dealing with this type of situation but there is something unusual if after the first game, which we lost against Burnley, the press push quickly to sack me. "I won't forget this".

"I remember with Ranieri when he [Mourinho] offended him for his English", added Conte. If you want to go to fight with me I am ready. I am fully committed in this.

There's no doubt the oil rich club would see Mourinho or Conte as the high profile names to take them to the next level in the continent's biggest competition.

"What has never happened to me and will never happen is to be suspended for match-fixing".

It was these motivation skills that pushed Chelsea towards the Premier League title in 2016/17, but with a full-strength Pep Guardiola now to contend with, it is clear that the London club need more than just that.

It began when Mourinho made comments about his touchline persona stating that he no longer acts like a clown, Conte interpreted the comments towards him and intensified the feud stating the Portuguese coach has "demenza senile".

"In the past he was a little man in many circumstances, he's a little man in the present and for sure he will be a little man in the future".

The west London side are now in third place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification and bid to get as close to Manchester City in the table as possible. In this aspect I am very happy.

"No, honestly we didn't speak about him, but I repeat we are talking about a really good player", Conte told reporters at Cobham Training Centre.
