OnePlus says that the Sandstone White model will be available "while supplies last", so if you're interested in picking one up, be sure to set a reminder for next Tuesday to place an order.
It looks like OnePlus are getting ready to launch a new color option for their flagship smartphone, the Sandstone White OnePlus 5T. The handset was initially made available in late November in Midnight Black, featuring specs and a design that were nearly identical to the original OnePlus 5.
The new model features a stark black logo and buttons to match, which contrast very well with the matte white chassis.
The OnePlus 5T in sandstone white will go on sale January 9 at 10 am EST for $559/£499/€559 in the US, UK, and Europe, respectively. It launched in India, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden in Sandstone White, but didn't come to the USA, U.K., and other global markets right away, which left some Sandstone fans disappointed. First, we apply a primer to safeguard the metal body.
After the color temperature layer is applied, it's time for the third step: covering the surface of the second layer with a blend of natural minerals and white oil paint that create a blend of white and gray tones, and that texture its surface with OnePlus's signature Sandstone feel. Finally, a UV layer is applied to further refine the tactile sensation.
This limited edition is more than just a colourway, as it also adds OnePlus' grippy Sandstone texture, which makes the device much more secure in the hand.
It's only available with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage as opposed to the slightly less expensive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage variant.
The OnePlus 5T will go on sale on Tuesday January 9 starting at $499 in the US; CA$659 in Canada; £449 in the United Kingdom; and €499 in the rest of Europe.
