It reported that the man who slapped Weinstein was called Steve and did so after approaching him and asking for a photograph. Weinstein turned down an offer to call the police and left.

He then asked his friend to film him as he approached for a second time at the Elements restaurant, part of Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

A civic-minded citizen walked up to Weinstein, and blasted him, saying: You're such a piece of shi* for what you did to these women. Speaking to the outlet, Steve claimed Weinstein was belligerent and "said no" to his photo request. As Weinstein and his coach went to leave, an admittedly inebriated Steve (he'd had "quite a bit to drink") attempted to punch Weinstein - though the restaurants manager said Steve's flailing fists failed to connect with Harvey Weinstein.

According to Raw Story, Steve was drunk.

There is video of the incident and Weinstein did indeed catch a couple of backhanded slaps to his grill.

Weinstein reportedly is undergoing rehab at the exclusive Meadows center in Wickenburg, Arizona.

More than 80 women have come forward with accusations of inappropriate behaviour, rape and misconduct against Weinstein.

Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lupita N'yongo and Ashley Judd are among the women to accuse Weinstein of making an unwanted sexual advance when they were young actresses.

Weinstein was also fired from his film studio hours after he reportedly emailed a plea to Hollywood CEOs and moguls to prevent the ousting.

Weinstein has vehemently denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Contrary to rumors that Weinstein was in Los Angeles during the Golden Globes last week, Weinstein's reps confirmed he was NOT in Hollywood, and was in Arizona the whole time.
